Joumanna Jewellery & Sarah Bond
I’ve been following ready to wear designer, Sarah Bond, through her social media for some time. I’ve become increasingly attracted to her distinctive aesthetic; tailored dresses and separates that have a timeless appeal yet with a modern twist. Utilising techno textiles on which she can digitally print, the pieces mould effortlessly to the form creating sharp, streamlined silhouettes.
In this shoot I’m wearing the pieces from her SS16 collection. It would be hard to pinpoint a favourite piece, but if I had to for sheer innovation it would be her Hakame Whisper dress. The interesting lines and reverse peplum are certain to be a conversation point for anybody brave enough to wear.
The full SS16 collection will be available to view at her private trunk show in London on the 19 November email email@example.com for more details.
‘Don’t make a statement wear one’. Joumanna Jewellery is a luxury online destination for showcasing a collective of emerging middle eastern jewellery designers.
As the tag line suggests, these pieces are one of a kind. Joumanna, the founder, has an impeccable eye for curating a website with bold artisanal pieces at accessible prices. This is jewellery that I personally adore as it is unapologetically bold and creates a strong visual statement.
The company also has a charitable element giving 10 percent of their sales towards Teach for Lebanon – a foundation whose goal is to provide accessible education to all primary school children.
Winners will be announced the day after their trunk show on November 20
