Missoni

In a recent article for Sheer Luxe I was asked to name my favourite designer brand. Designers go in and out of fashion, but if there is one label that I return to time and again it’s Italian label Missoni. I admit it’s not always the easiest to carry off, many are put off by it’s bold use of colour but for myself it has an enduring, classic appeal that never fades.

I love that the label is steeped in history, founded in 1950 by Ottavia and his wife Rosita Missoni. It is still family run and stays true to it’s roots with it’s trademark zigzag weave.

I have collected Missoni since a young adult and the pieces are as relevant today as when I bought them 20 years ago. The collection also extends beyond the wardrobe to home wear too, and nothing is more treasured in my home than my Missoni Rosaraie rug. Providing a much needed blast of colour to offset London’s usually grey vistas.

In these pictures I’m wearing pieces from Missoni’s Autumn Winter 15 collection. I’m particularly in love with the limited edition jumper (pictured above) there were only 100 made and so this is a definite collectors items.

All pieces are available to buy at Linea Fashion Hampstead
